Kalles World Tour

Kalle Mathiesen is known for his unconventional one-man band, featuring a drum kit on a trolley and a quirky yet entertaining playing style. He’s a familiar face at events like the Skarø Festival.

The only thing you can be sure of when Kalle’s World Tour is performing – is that you can’t be sure of anything! Kalle is a trained drummer from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory and has created his one-man show based on the motto: “There’s music in everything – and everything is music.”

Armed with a loop station, drum kit, bass, balloons, squeaky toys, a knight’s helmet, a drill, and just about any object that can make a sound – plus a solid dose of self-irony – Kalle Mathiesen delivers world-class musical entertainment.

Kalle’s goal is to perform in every country in the world, and he’s well on his way – both as a street performer and on more formal stages. His home base is in Denmark, and he’s become known from various TV shows such as Ramasjang, Natholdet, So Ein Ding, My Danish Collection, and the radio program Weekendsax on Radio 24/7.

In 2013, Kalle was crowned Scandinavian Loop Station Champion – a device that records and plays back sounds, allowing them to be layered into live performances.
