Kalle Mathiesen is known for his unique one-man band, with a sack truck drum kit, and a strange but fun playing style. Kalle is also known from the Skarø Festival.
The only thing you can be sure of when Kalle’s World Tour is providing the entertainment is that you can’t be sure of anything at all. Kalle Mathiesen trained as a drummer at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory and has created his one-man show based on the motto that ‘There is music in everything and everything is music’.
Armed with a loop station, drum kit, bass, balloons, squeaky toys, knight’s helmet, drill, and almost every conceivable object that can make a sound, plus a good dose of self-irony, Kalle Mathiesen delivers world-class musical entertainment.
Kalle’s goal is to perform in every country in the world, and he is well on his way, both as a street musician and in more organised settings. His base, however, is in Denmark, and he is now known from TV programmes Ramasjang, Natholdet, So Ein Ding, My Danish collection, and the radio programme Weekendsax on Radio 24/7.
Kalle Mathiesen also became the Scandinavian champion in loop station in 2013. A machine that records and reproduces sounds that can be incorporated into music.
